Opportunities to get involved...

There are many and varied needs for volunteers to fill out the committees and share the work throughout the MVCT community.  Consider joining us at a meeting or two and see where you can fit your time and talents.  Inquire though our volunteer page.

Now in our 34th year, Mounds View Community Theatre (MVCT) presents one high quality Broadway Musical each summer in July.

MVCT takes its name from the surrounding Mounds View School District, including the cities of Arden Hill, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, Shoreview and Vadnais Heights.  MVCT began in the mid-1970s as a summer-school theater experience for students of the Mounds View School District.

In 1984, in cooperation with the city of Mounds View Parks and Recreation Department, it became a program operated by volunteers and a small staff.  Its mission was to bring actors, musicians and volunteers of all ages together to enrich performing arts in the north suburban community.  MVCT became a separate entity in 1998 when granted tax exempt status in the form of an IRS 501c3 organization.

The income from ticket sales is approximately 1/3 of the total yearly budget so we depend on grants, donations, partnerships and fund-raising events to support each summer’s production.
